If you are looking for a fancy dinner out you can check out the many options 1.15 hours North in Ridgecrest, or you can enjoy the local ma’ & pa’ diners in the smaller towns close by (30 min drive or so) such as Hinkley, Kramer Junction, Atolia, Red Mountain, Johannesburg.

If you are a fan of solar power, you will pleased to know there is a local solar power project that exists just south of you called Abengoa Mojave Solar Project. Slightly East from there you can visit the popular Rainbow Basin Natural Area and hike around the natural sites with your family, and if hiking is your passion then right near that you can continue your adventures hiking through Black Mountain Wilderness. If photography is your hobby then you will want to take pictures of the famous Trona Pinnacles which is 1.5 hours North from your land.

Mojave Base is just over the desert hills to the East, where you can also find the Goldstone Deep Space Communications (Aerospacee Company) and Fort Irwin.
